All returns or exchanges for any reason other than error on our part will be subject to a $15 restock charge and must be sent with the original box, warranty papers, and owner's manual. Please call 260-665-3670 to obtain a return authorization number before sending your tripod back. Gitzo introduced new tripod models featuring Carbon Fiber legs with their new G-Lock system. The new world patented G-Lock system is the latest Gitzo innovation. The mechanism engages a cone-shaped ramp and locking ring, creating a "gravity lock" effect. The more weight applied to the lock vertically, the stronger the locking effect. This improves deflection, or tripod "flex," and greatly improves the performance of the tripod. The G-Lock mechanism uses a larger thread and polymer bushings, making it less susceptible to climatic conditions and resistant to water, dust, and dirt.
