The Fat Bag camera support
Now available in a khaki color

When you don't have enough room or time to set up a tripod, the Fat Bag camera support may very well save your shot. Made in the U.S.A., the Fat Bag camera support is made of 1000-denier cordura fabric with polyurethane backing to make it water resistant. It features double stitched seams throughout, real leather on top, and is backed with foam to help retain the saddle shape

The Fat Bag is filled with crushed walnut and is adjustable by simply unzipping the bag and removing some walnut if needed. The Fat Bag comes generously overfilled with that purpose in mind.

Note: Because of its weight and the limitations of our shopping cart, 2nd Day Air shipping for the filled Fat Bag will cost about $10-$15 more than is displayed by the shopping cart. If you choose regular ground delivery, the correct shipping amount will display. The OmniPod™

Unlike other camera steadying devices, the OmniPod can be used in many different ways indoors and outdoors. By straddling a surface you can create great unique images from vehicle windows, railings, chairs, signs, fences, rocks, tree limbs.....etc. Yes, even on barbed wire!

Its durable exterior body is rugged enough to satisfy even the most aggressive outdoor enthusiast while being flexible enough to stabilize larger equipment for self-timer photos and camcorder video images.

For longer lenses, attach the Omnipod and simply fold it underneath the lens to create the perfect lens cradle. Being lightweight and portable it can be easily stored in a gadget bag, glove compartment, suitcase, or briefcase.

The OmniPod is available in two configurations from Kirk Photo. First, you can purchase it plain with a standard threaded screw to attach directly to your camera or lens. Or, you can purchase it bundled with our popular QRC-2 quick release clamp, as pictured on the left above. NOTE: this clamp works with only Arca-style QR plates. You must purchase a plate to fit your camera or lens separately.

Kirk's new Super Grip Mount
Now you can reduce the chance of dropping one of your prized lenses or cameras when you transport them by using the secure grip provided by Kirk's new Super Grip Mount. Use the Arca-style quick release plate that's probably already on your lens or camera to quickly attach the Super Grip Mount. Then securely transport them to your next location. In addition, use it as a small support platform to improve camera stability in tight situations. The generous rubber padding protects against marring surfaces when used this way. The Super Grip Mount can also be used as an easily attached handle for Kirk L-brackets when you need to quickly move away from your tripod.

turns your car into a tripod.
Kirk's heavy-duty, ball-head Multi-Purpose Window Mount combines compact convenience and versatility with the sturdy precision of a quality tripod. This rugged support is ready to handle lenses up to 800mm. Use it clamped inside your car window; or as a sturdy "lowpod" for resting on a table, car roof, or flat rock; or wherever you are working in a confined space. It accepts any 3/8-inch size tripod head. This versatile mount is made of black anodized 6061-T6 aluminum with rubber-covered feet and easy-to-grip controls. NOTE: even though they appear in some of the photos, ball heads are not included with the window mount. They must be purchased separately.

Here is a view of the underside that shows how the feet extend and retract for added stability and easier transport. All feet are rubber covered to avoid scratching.
